Judging by the messages I’ve received, it’s not easy to find an authentic long sleeve LA Galaxy shirt as worn by David Beckham. In this post, I explain why he wears a long sleeve shirt even as the rest of the team are wearing a summer kit (which is usually short sleeved). I thought I’d gather some photographs of Beckham’s current LA Galaxy soccer kit here, as a guide for what to look for. In the photos below, he’s actually wearing the kit itself, so you know the design is genuine.

So, the main things to note are:

• David Beckham’s number is 23.
• The digits “2″ and “3″ are in black.
• Above the number, BECKHAM is written in color.
• The top features long sleeves. You can get the top in short sleeves also, but it won’t look correct.
• The major sponsor is Herbalife. The previous sponsor was Siemens, and the tops look very similar.
• The collar is also in black.
• Extending from the collar down the sleeve is a triple stripe, also in black.
• The cuffs are white.
• A thin yellow stripe extends from the middle of the side of the jersey up under the armpit and up to the collarbone.
• A thicker yellow flame stripe extends around the sides of the jersey and up across the chest.
• On the front of the shirt, above the I and F in “Herbalife” is the L.A. Galaxy logo.
• In the top center of the shirt is the Adidas logo.
• Each digit and the right arm features a Major League Soccer (MLS) badge. The MLS logo is shown below in closeup.
